About us
What EvntNepal is
EvntNepal is a ticketing platform for events across Canada and the United States. Organizers put their event on sale, take the money, and check people in at the door. Everybody else finds something to do and keeps their tickets in one place.
We are not a venue and we are not a promoter. We do not decide which events run or what they cost. We are the machinery underneath — the page people buy from, the card payment, the ticket in their pocket, and the scanner at the entrance on the night.
Who it is for
If you are putting something on
Save a venue once, with its address on a map. Draw its seating plan by dragging chairs into rows, or set up round tables for a dinner — then reuse that plan season after season. Put tickets on sale in tiers, add your sponsors' logos, and publish.
On the night, your door staff get their own logins that reach the check-in screen and nothing else. They scan with a phone camera, a barcode gun, or by typing the code — and it keeps working when the venue wifi does not.
If you are going out
Browse by city, category or date. On a seated event you pick your actual seat from the plan and see what is still free. Pay by card, and the ticket arrives by email as a PDF carrying both a QR code and a printed barcode, so it scans whichever way the door is set up.
No account is needed to buy. Make one if you would rather keep every ticket together and find them again without digging through your inbox.
How it works, start to finish
- An organizer lists the event — dates, venue, description, ticket tiers and prices.
- Somebody buys a ticket — by card on the website, or in cash at the door on the night.
- The ticket is issued immediately — emailed as a PDF, and stored in their account if they have one.
- It is scanned at the entrance — once. A second scan of the same ticket is refused, and says when the first one happened.
What it costs
Buyers pay a service charge on top of the ticket price, shown as its own line at checkout before anyone commits to anything. It is currently CA$1.99 per ticket.
Organizers pay commission out of their ticket revenue, currently 3.5% of ticket revenue, plus whatever the card processor charges for the transaction. Nothing is deducted from a free ticket, and nothing is charged for an event that never sells.
The full breakdown is on our pricing page.
Where we operate
Canada and the United States, in CAD. Every event carries its own time zone, so an event listed in Vancouver shows Vancouver's clock no matter where it is being read.
Why we built it
Most ticketing platforms take a percentage of every sale, so the better your event does, the more it costs you — for the same work on a hundred dollar ticket as on a ten dollar one. We would rather the charge was a published number you can check before you list anything. On EvntNepal it is currently CA$1.99 per ticket, it appears as its own line at checkout, and nobody finds out what it was after the event is over.
The second thing we wanted to change is who the audience belongs to. When somebody buys a ticket to your event, they are your attendee, not ours. Their email address goes to you. They can follow your organizer page and hear about your next event directly, rather than having their attention sold back to you by a platform that is also taking money from the event down the road.
The third is the part nobody thinks about until it fails: the door. The worst mobile reception in any town is usually inside the venue, and the worst possible moment to find that out is with two hundred people queuing in the cold. So the scanner holds the guest list on the phone and works with no signal at all, then catches up when it finds one. The same goes for the ticket itself, which the app keeps on the phone.
None of that is complicated. It is just what we would want if we were the ones putting the event on.
